Faith & Trust: the p:ear rec program goes climbing
From Rec Coordinator Nathan: Four p:ear youth spent a wonderfully warm spring day in the shadows of Mt. Hood climbing at French’s Dome. Sitting amongst Douglas fir trees, youth challenged themselves to the 60 ft+ climbs of this geological wonder. As it was a new experience for all of them, trust took on a whole new role as youth learned to put their faith in a rope, a harness and the belayer below. Difficult at first, these youth overcame their fears and moved up the rock time after time. It was a great accomplishment on multiple levels for everyone.
