Pear - Creatively Mentoring Homeless Youth
To raise money and promote membership for p:ear core, p:ear’s monthly giving club, 20+ Portland bands have been enlisted to play a few of their favorite ‘80s college rock covers. Featuring sets from The Upsidedown, Pete Krebs, Rick Bain & The Genius Position, Jeremy Wilson, The Reverberations, Little Sue, The Get Ahead, Supercrow, The Zags, Wilkinson Blades, One Life, The Stubborn Lovers, a certain smile, Pacific Mean Time, Wild Bells, Miller & Sasser, Ezra Holbrook, The Welfare State, The Hauer Things, Jaycob Van Auken, Louder Than Moz. What better way to raise money for a music mentoring program for homeless and transitional youth than by channeling the DIY optimism and activism of the ’80s rock underground?

A $10/month pledge to p:ear core gets you entry into a raffle with awesome prizes including a guitar from Trade Up Music, room from the Jupiter Hotel, passes to the Doug Fir Lounge and a guitar signed by all members of Prophets of Rage

Can’t make the event but want to enter the raffle? Sign up for p:ear core and put “STS” in the Notes section to be entered to win!

There will be two shows, from 4 to 7 (all ages) and from 8 to midnight
