Pear - Creatively Mentoring Homeless Youth

We just published our annual p:ear report, a summary of the tremendous accomplishments for our youth this past school year. Thanks to the support of people like you, p:ear was able to serve over 900 youth last year! Read 2012-13 p:ear report.

We are working hard to raise $15,000 by October 1st to support the education and transition of homeless youth.

Help meet that need with a gift at any amount.

 

Mentoring Staff & Volunteers provided 14,151 hours of mentoring, by 128 volunteers and 6 staff serving 1,527 youth enrolled at an average of 37 youth per day

Food Program: 19 volunteer chefs and 12 local restaurants made and shared 9,555 wholesome and nutritious meals with our kids

Art Program:  Youth created and sold 72 paintings in our on-site gallery, earning $2,472

Recreation Program: 136 miles were hiked, biked, climbed and kayaked by 127 kids in the beautiful Northwest

Eduction Program: 11 youth completed or are working on their GED, and 21 youth engaged in further education at PCC and other local schools

Transition Program: 39 referral services offered — from dental to mental health, to housing, legal, laundry, and transportation support — utilized by 932 kids.
