Reasons to go into the woods

Pear - Creatively Mentoring Homeless Youth

From p:ear rec coordinator Nathan:

p:ear and three youth made the trip down to Silver Falls State Park last Friday. Departing from the main lodge area we set forth on the Trail of Seven Falls Loop Hike. This is by far one of the most scenic waterfall hikes in all the state at just 4.6 miles in total distance. Exploring this area and all it has to offer was an incredibly peaceful and relaxing way to spend the day. Towards the end of the hike we spent some time in the old growth forest just breathing and recharging amongst the giants; something we all felt was needed. It was great end to a hectic week, one that unfortunately will continue for them when they return to the city; however, it’s just one of the reasons we go to the woods.
