Support p:ear’s education program through IncitED

Pear - Creatively Mentoring Homeless Youth

p:ear is excited to partner with IncitED, a crowd-funding website that helps organizations raise funds for education programs, to support p:ear’s GED program for the upcoming school year. The goal is raise $2,500 this July to help p:ear youth with individualized support, academic counseling and instruction as they prepare to successfully complete their GED and/or acquire basic academic and literacy skills.

Donations to this GED program will guide these students onto the path to becoming life-long learners, an investment that will last a life time.  P:ear’s unique program gives homeless youth here in the Portland area a creative outlet and safe space.  This expansion of p:ear’s educational program will provide 10 youth members the opportunity to earn their GED.   National studies have shown that individuals with high school/GED degrees on average will earn higher wages and enjoy more comfortable and secure lifestyles.  By giving to these students today they will be provided the freedom to give back to their communities tomorrow.
