Corporate Engagement

Volunteer as a team
Looking for a fun and meaningful team-building opportunity? Volunteer with us! Last year, over 102 volunteers spent 2,600 hours making an immediate impact on the kids we serve. From cooking in our kitchen to organizing a supply drive to volunteering for or sponsoring a program or fundraising event, your team will be helping to make our community better — for everyone.
Cook a meal together
2-6 employees per shift can cook a meal for 75 p:ear youth with p:ear staff oversight. This meal can be made on-site from 9:30am-11:30am during business days, or off-site at the location/time of your choosing, with a scheduled drop-off.
Organize a supply drive
Organize a program supply drive for the many, varied items that keeps p:ear able to effectively meet the needs of homeless youth. From art materials to pantry items to school supplies, your employees can choose from our seasonally-adjusted needs lists to make sure their impact is as relevant as possible.
Workplace giving
Make sure p:ear is offered as a Matching Gift location for your employees’ volunteer time and donations. This is an excellent option for your company’s holiday or workplace giving program.
Adopt-A-Program
Adopt-a-Program allows your company to support specific youth-focused programs in 3 month or annual increments. When you Adopt-A-Program, you company gets to choose a specific component of p:ear that closely aligns with your work or charitable focus: Safe Space, Education, Arts and Music, Recreation or p:ear works, which includes Coffee Works, Art Works or Bike Works.
Sponsor an event
By sponsoring one of p:ears’ fundraising events, your company will have the opportunity to demonstrate to your employees, customers, and the community that your business is a change agent and a proactive part of the solution for housing insecurity for youth in Portland. Our event sponsors are invaluable to p:ear’s growth and the promotion of our story and work.

"I have a child that I bring in regularly (when she doesn’t have school) and, because of cool people like you, I have a safe, warm place to bring her to do incredible, fun crafts."
